Hi my name is Lanita Dejean and I’m a 33 year old woman struggling with PCOS and infertility. I am married to the best man in world who so wishes to have a child with me. My husband has two sons (age 9 and 6) from a previous relationship, who I absolutely adore. Although the boys aren’t mine biologically, you would never know if I didn’t tell you. The love I have for them is unwavering. I’ve been in their lives since they were 2 and 5 weeks old. When my husband and I got together I decided to step in and take on the responsibility and privilege to be their mother because their biological mother had completely alienated them. It’s been amazing taking on motherhood to them even with my own obstacles with child birth. Our family has an unbreakable bond and we all wish to expand our little family. We’re very open with our children about trying to have a baby and even bring them along to fertility visits. So far,I’ve had 3 failed assisted cycles: 1 with hormones and a trigger shot and the other 2 with hormones, triggers and interuterine insemination. Even with the love and support we have received throughout this journey, we have become a bit discouraged with the current route of treatment and now want to move on to the next step, which is IVF. So, far with the current treatment we’ve spent thousands of dollars to no avail, seeing as our insurance doesn’t cover fertility appointments. We know that moving on to IVF will be even more costly and that is why we are asking for your help. It’s been hard 5 years of unsuccessful attempts, however we still have faith. Please help us bring our wildest dream to life, anything given would be greatly appreciated and we thank you in advance.
